Wednesday 10 July 2024 | Disney's Moana, Jr | Chorley Theatre | Chorley Youth Theatre present a 60-minute musical adaptation of the 2016 Disney animated film, bringing the adventures of Moana and her village of Motunui to life onstage for all the family. This show features all the beloved songs from the film, including "How Far I'll Go," "Shiny," and "You're Welcome." This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within... Thursday 27 July | Fun Thursdays in Market Walk | Chorley Council | Visit Market Walk on Thursday 27 July, 10am - 4pm for free entertainment and crafts throughout the day from Pirate Polly and her mythical creature friends (Unicorn Princess, Fairy and Mermaid) by Lancashire Ice Queens. |
Sunday 28 July | Light Classics Concert | St Laurence's Church | Each month, on the last Sunday [apart from August], St Laurence's Church hosts a short musical concert with a variety of musicians offering their talents. This month, we have the Festivo Winds Quintet performing a programme of music for us. Doors open at 2.15 for light refreshments, followed by the music at 3.00. Our gift shop is open before and after the concert, and you can browse our monthly art exhibition, too. Entrance is free, but donations of £5 towards the church funds are appreciated.
