Planning policy evidence and monitoring

Evidence

Evidence base documents are reports and studies that inform the development of the Local Plan.  

In addition there are national documents such as the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and the National Planning Practice Guidance.

Council and other documents which form part of the evidence base include:

 

Monitoring documents

  Authority Monitoring Report (PDF) [1MB] assesses whether policy aims and objectives are being achieved, by monitoring and reporting against a broad range of indicators covering environmental, economic and social information.

Central Lancashire Core Strategy Monitoring Report (PDF) [320KB]  monitors the performance indicators of the Core Strategy.

Brownfield Land Register 

We are required to maintain a register of previously developed (brownfield) land. The brownfield register (Excel doc) [31KB]  is updated annually and contains a list of brownfield sites which are considered suitable for residential development. An accompanying map of the borough showing the boundary of each site entered can be found on our mapping system
