Central Lancs Dial a Ride

This service provides transportation to people who struggle to get out because of restricted mobility and lack of transport. They offer a door to door, accessible and fare payable minibus service for residents in Chorley and its surrounding boroughs.  Please call Dial a Ride to register your details and discuss your requirements. They will then confirm when they are next in your area. Dial a Ride also offer a community car scheme where volunteers use their own vehicles to transport people to medical appointments or shopping if the bus does not cover their area.

Golf Fore the Ages

Discover the joy of golf, no matter your age or experience! This session is a specially curated session at Duxbury Park Golf Course, tailored for individuals over 50. Whether you're looking to reignite your passion for the sport, adapt your game due to health challenges, or simply want to embark on a new, low-impact adventure, we've got you covered.

Dive into a 6-week rolling program where each participant receives a personalised plan to hone their skills. The first hour immerses you in the world of golf, from the driving range to the putting green, and even course play. Afterward, unwind and connect with fellow golfers and health professionals over refreshments in our cozy clubhouse.

Home Instead

Home Instead provides high quality care services to adults and older people in their own homes.

The dedicated home care services provided by Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley can allow people to stay at home in the place where they feel happiest and most comfortable, helping to maintain independence.  This service offers companionship, home help and housekeeping, personal care and Dementia care, including Alzheimer's disease.

Genesis Care NW Ltd

Genesis Care is a small, not for profit charitable organisation providing day-time support for older people with dementia and other disabilities in a homely environment.  Support is focused around promoting independence and implementing strategies for maintaining life skills, social activities and reminiscence. We offer a range of activities, led by a skilled staff team, that are designed to stimulate and motivate, whilst having fun.  Lunch and refreshments are provided.  Costs vary, but prices do include a 2-course lunch.  Please contact Genesis Care for more information.

A Carers Café is also available on the 4th Wednesday of every month (excluding December).  Refreshments are charged at reasonable prices.

Fosterfield Day Centre

The day support provided is person centred and will aim to maintain the lifestyle and well-being for older people, including those living with dementia, whilst providing support to carers. This service focuses on reducing social isolation through maximising skills and promoting independence.

Sporting Memories Foundation - Chorley Branch

Sporting Memories Foundation working alongside Chorley FC Community Foundation, using the rich history and heritage of sport, offering Wellbeing through Reminiscence for those people & their families who are living with Dementia, Loneliness and Depression.

Free Dementia Friendly Sessions are held every Wednesday at 1.45pm - 3.00pm at Chorley Football Club Victory Park, Duke Street, Chorley, PR7 3DU where a warm welcome awaits you.

Talkin' Tables are a great way to find new people to talk to! Whether it is a quick coffee and a chat, or a long mid-morning natter, all are welcome. After-Loss Club

Have you lost someone through DEATH, DIVORCE, DEMENTIA, DISABILITY? Loss can be heartbreaking for everyone and here at the New Friends for You After-Loss club we understand that, and we are here for you if you need us. Falls Prevention Central Lancashire

The Falls Prevention Service is a multidisciplinary specialist service for older people who have fallen or are at risk of falling. Following an assessment, a care plan is collaboratively agreed with the individual for intervention and management of further falls.
