Police and Crime Commissioner elections

A Police and Crime Commissioner is elected every 4 years. Although, they do not run the police, they are responsible for holding the police to account on behalf of the public.

The latest election for a Police and Crime Commissioner took place on Thursday 6 May 2021, when Andrew Snowden was elected for the Lancashire police area.
