The Meeting Place Volunteer | Chorley United Reformed Church (URC) | Hollinshead Street, PR7 1EP | 1. To be able to ensure that all those attending the session are treated with dignity and respect at all times. 2. A knowledge of Safeguarding would be advantageous, however mandatory training will be provided every three years. | 1. To assist with the delivery of the services of The Meeting Place as directed by the Team Leader. 2. To assist with the setting up of the room and ensure that all equipment and servers can work safely. 3. To be willing to receive instructions to operate equipment used throughout the session safely. 4.To ensure that Food Safety Regulations are complied with during the session. 5. To work with other team members and support those as required during the session, through activities prepared for all to participate in. 6. To assist with cleaning and clearing of all utensils, equipment and furniture at the end of the session, leaving the area suitable for other hirers to use. 7. To comply with all Health and Safety regulations and risk assessments for Chorley URC whilst in attendance and prior to attending the session. 8. To ensure that any incidents which could be considered a near miss, accident or are a breach of safeguarding policy are recorded and reported to the Team Leader. | 2 hours per week |
Volunteer Driver | Central Lancashire Dial a Ride | Borough-wide | -Access to a vehicle for the Community Car Scheme -D1 on your driving license to drive a minibus -Full UK driver's license -DBS -Be willing to participate in an observed drive | The organisation are looking for volunteers to participate in the Community Car Scheme or to drive Dial a Ride minibuses. You would be giving your time to people in your own community who are unable to use public transport, have no regular access to a car nor the ability to pay for taxis on a regular basis. Dial a Ride will provide the Midas training (one day course) to enable volunteers to drive a minibus and pay for a DBS check. Volunteers will be reimbursed any expenses at £0.40 per mile for the Community Car Scheme and meal expenses for any day trips out. | Various |
Food and support service volunteer | Chorley Help the Homeless | Friday Street, Chorley | Full training will be provided. Volunteers need to be empathetic towards visitors and reasonably active as the role involves moving around large quantities of food and other household items. | To help sort food and other donations, place items on shelves and prepare food parcels for delivery and distribution. Volunteer will need a full drivers license and be physically able to lift as part of the role. | To drive the team van, collect foods for the Good Food Clubs before the session starts. | Upwards of 6 hours a week |

Volunteer will need to be physically able to perform the exercise part of the role. | Helping those coming out of shielding or self-isolation into a regular exercise regime. This starts off with telephone befriending but will lead to accompanying the client on walks or other forms of exercise. | 3 hours a week upwards |
