Community Work

Chorley In Bloom, work with many of the Scout and Guide groups from Squirrels and Rainbows through to the Intrepid Explorers in groups up to 30 at a time. Year 11 Astley Park Special School pupils have regular lessons with us in our newly formed Teaching and Learning Hub at the rear of All Seasons Leisure Centre. They are working towards their ASDAM and Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Police Cadets have made a difference to the front of the Police Station. Galloways members have also contributed to their achievements.

Chorley In Bloom also work with pupils from Oliver House and have a student from Walton le Dale who was referred from a Preston Volunteer group. We have had referrals from Social Prescribing agencies and have Sisters and Elders from the Preston Temple who come regularly and make a difference.

We work most years with up to 1,000 volunteers.
