Chorley Council celebrate as three events are nominated for Lancashire Tourism Awards

After the successful year Chorley Council had in their event portfolio, three of their popular events; Chorley 10k, Chorley Live and Chorley Flower Show, were nominated in the Lancashire's best 'Small Event' category at the Lancashire Tourism Awards.

The annual awards recognise the success and achievements of Lancashire's tourism and hospitality organisations in a wide range of categories, including small event, which three of the Council's events had been nominated in.

Leader of Chorley Council, Councillor Alistair Bradley, said: "We are delighted to have been nominated for three Lancashire Tourism Awards in the small event category.

"The nominations are a great achievement for the borough of Chorley and a real testament to the great things Chorley has to offer.

"I'd like to say a huge thank you to all of the officers that make these great events what they are, to the people of Chorley and beyond for supporting us to provide these fantastic opportunities to show how wonderful our borough is, and to those that attend year on year".

Chorley Council would like to extend a congratulations to the other nominees and winners, some of whom are based in Chorley.
