On your marks, get set.... for a great time in Chorley

Chorley 10K

27 April 2023

It's almost time for the Chorley 10K and 2K Family Run. Whether you're running, supporting or visiting, get ready for a great day.

The Chorley 10K and Family Run races, organised by Chorley Council with the support of Fylde Coast Runners, will take place on Sunday 7 May 2023 in Chorley town centre.

There is still time to register for the races, which can be done on the Check out Chorley website

Following mass warm-ups organised by Lions Running Community, the Mayor of Chorley will start the 2K Family Run at 9:30am then the Chorley 10K at 10:30am both starting and finishing on Market St.

Competitors will receive a well-deserved medal at the finish line, which also entitles the medal holder to perks from some local businesses - see checkoutchorley.com/chorley10K for further information.

Even if running isn't your thing, there's still plenty to enjoy.
People are urged to line the race route to cheer on the competitors and as always on race day, Fazakerley Street will become a hive of activity as the event run village, full of organisations, from running, fitness and health groups and businesses, to food and drink businesses and more, plus there'll be free face painting for children.

This year the newly developed '1498 at the Markets' will also be open from 10am - 4pm, with live music between 10:15am - 3:00pm.

Information on town centre car parks can be found on our parking web page.

There will be some town centre road closures on the day of the event from around 9:00am to approx.12:00 noon, on parts of Southport Road, St Thomas' Road, Park Road, Market Street. Signage will be on display in advance of the race.
