Councillor Peter Wilson, Deputy Leader of Chorley Council said, "I'm delighted to be able to announce that we as a council have allocated £100,000 to support our local community groups and organisations. This forms part of our ongoing commitment to help reduce the hardship of the cost-of-living crisis on Chorley residents.

"We recognise the valuable role that the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector play in enhancing the life of people in Chorley, now more than ever, and we are here to support vital projects they wish to deliver."

The funding can be used to enhance local groups and organisations and provide support for project delivery in direct reaction to the cost-of-living challenges Chorley residents are experiencing.

Councillor Wilson continued, "The cost of living crisis is providing challenges for all in our community and I hope that with this funding we can give our incredible local organisations the boost they need to continue to support people right across the borough.

"I urge community groups and organisations across the borough to apply for this funding right away."
